Finding and Applying to a Program
As you determine what program of study is best for you, please search our Degree Programs Database for information about our 130+ masters, doctoral, and graduate certificate programs. Once you choose a degree program, be sure to note individual program deadlines and program specific requirements for admission, as these can vary program to program.
When ready, an online application should be submitted to our Office of Graduate Admissions. Minimum admissions requirements may be found here for domestic applicants or here for international applicants. You may upload any additional relavant documents as part of your online application (personal statements, letters of recommedation, etc.) as noted by your program.
Once recevied centrally and basic items are noted as complete, applications are forwarded to the departments for review and decisions. Check out the GRE chart for the new scoring model and when you are ready to apply online.
WVU offers a variety of ways for funding your graduate education.
As a community that actively embraces diversity, WVU sponsors the Colloquium for Aspiring Minority Doctoral Candidates to enrich the population of doctoral students here.
We also welcome more than 1,000 international students from around the world.
